Olugbesoye Olujimi
Early Life & Heritage
It was a joyful moment in the home of Evangelist Bamidele Olumilua and Lady Evangelist Bolatito Olumilua on the 14th of June, 1982, when Olugbesoye Olujimi was born in the ancient royal town of Ikere-Ekiti, fondly known as the gateway to Ekiti Land. From the very day she was born, her father lovingly called her “Mama,” meaning mother.
On the eighth day, during her naming ceremony, she was named after her paternal grandmother, a woman remembered as a strong matriarch. Her name, Olugbesoye, meaning “God has lifted this into royalty and honour,” has indeed become a reflection of the life she now lives: a life marked by purpose, influence, and transformational impact.
Faith & Childhood Foundations
Her father played a significant role in shaping her spiritual life. Daily family prayer meetings were a constant part of life, both morning and night, where she was often encouraged to recite Bible verses. There were also family retreats, usually in December, where the family would withdraw for a few days to quietly seek God together.
These experiences instilled discipline, spirituality, and devotion in her life, becoming pillars that continue to strengthen her faith journey today.
As a child, Olugbesoye was naturally curious and expressive. She constantly asked questions, eager to understand how things worked and why they existed the way they did. She loved going out, learning new things, and engaging with people. That same curiosity and hunger for knowledge remain evident in her life today, as she continues to pursue growth, wisdom, and understanding with intentionality.
Educational Journey
Olugbesoye’s educational journey began in Lagos at Odusona Memorial Nursery School during her kindergarten years. She subsequently returned to Ikere-Ekiti, where she attended the College of Education Staff School for part of her primary education before eventually moving to Akure to complete her primary education at St. Louis Nursery and Primary School, where she served as the Labour Prefect.
She proceeded to Federal Government Girls College, Akure, for her secondary education. Her years in boarding school further reinforced values of discipline, time management, responsibility, organization, and independence.
She actively participated in sporting activities, music and drama clubs, and consistently demonstrated strong leadership abilities, eventually serving as the Prefect of the Blue House. Even at a young age, she believed in completing tasks thoroughly and giving her very best, long before she understood that what she embodied was a culture of excellence.

She was recognized as the Best Dressed Female in her department and actively participated in fellowship activities on campus. During this season, she also formed meaningful friendships that evolved into a close-knit group known as Sisters of Joy, relationships that remain valuable to her journey till date and have evolved into a channel through which lives are being touched.
