Living Intentionally 101 with Olugbesoye Olujimi pt.3

On today’s episode of Living Intentionally, I want to talk about something many of us try to avoid: DISCOMFORT.
One of the most challenging aspects of self-awareness is recognising the areas of our lives that still require growth.
As we evolve, we begin to see the habits, mindsets, and patterns that may no longer serve the future we desire.
The truth is, familiarity often feels safe, but growth rarely happens within the boundaries of comfort.
Growth stretches us beyond what we know.
It challenges long-held beliefs, exposes areas that need healing, discipline, and intentional development, and invites us into deeper levels of becoming.
We see this clearly in our careers and professional lives.
Sometimes, the role you desire requires a version of you that has developed
– Greater leadership capacity
– Stronger communication skills
– Emotional intelligence
– Adaptability, or the humility to learn new systems and approaches.
Yet because growth feels uncomfortable, many people retreat into familiarity instead of stretching into capacity.
The reality is that every new season demands a new version of you:
• A version willing to stretch beyond limitations.
• A version that refuses complacency.
• A version committed to continuous growth and intentional living.
If we constantly avoid discomfort, we may unintentionally resist the very transformation needed to move us forward.
Discomfort may not feel easy, but it is often the pathway to growth, purpose, and the fullness of who we are called to become.👌🏼
